Trump and Putin Hold Hour-Long Call on Ukraine Peace Plan
President of the United States, Donald Trump, has had a constructive one-hour phone call with President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, about peace proposals made by the White House in order to bring an end to the war in Ukraine. These peace proposals were made after consultations between US special envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff and the two leaders, President Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in Europe and Ukraine. Despite the fact that both the participants agreed that valuable propositions were presented during the diplomatic negotiations, no peace treaty was reached and consequently, the brief truce period expired and intensive military operations started once again.
